Ca fait longtemps.

Time flew by as always, I am done in DRC and am back in Sweden without having completed the blog in a long time. Again trying to have a blog my patience with slow Internet ran out after about 30 posts - I made 32 posts on my Nepali blog before I gave up. Maybe maybe I will write a few more posts, but at least now I will post some more pictures.

Chicago wedding

One of my best friends in the whole wide world is Sid, I would do anything for this guy. When he invited me (about a year and a half ago, weddings are planned for ages apparently) to his wedding in Chicago there was never a doubt in my mind, I would be there no matter where in the world I would be at the time. Turns out that it would be while I was in DRC, and I just happened to be one of the longest traveling guests. Let me just say that it was all worth the travel! Not only did I get to hang out ith both SId and his beautiful wife Kari a lot, I also met old friends like Benedicte, and extended the vacation to San Fransisco to meet up with Mere (more to come). For now, here is the beautiful couple, the view from their balcony, and me and Benedicte at the reception.

Depart d'EUSEC

I've found the best way to practice French in Bunia; move in with the French. Unfortunately, less than I week after I moved in, half of them move out... EUSEC, EU Security, is moving to Kisangani, so we'll take over their house. Hopefully we'll be able to keep the water, Internet and 24h electricity, and if so this house is far better than what I ever had chez MECHEM. Even without all that it's going to be really good because I adore these guys I'm now sharing with. And apart from all the good food and wine and nice company, it will mean even more improvement of the French :)

Hodna

Honda you say? Ok, I'll get you one!
